Yesterday night 11 p.m. CET German/French TV channel ARTE showed a David Lynch interview / short-documentary providing insights into the master's work and mind.

David Lynch commented on how happy he was living on top of L.A., remarking he felt the nighttime look of L.A. to be liberating versus the "hellhole" Philadelphia.

The interview was focusing on David Lynch's artwork (showed him painting black lines on sculptures of furniture) and in general his ideas about the 'medium' cinema and film. Various backstage footage from Mulholland Drive including Naomi watts screwing up her hire-a-killer scene several times (and getting it right thanks to a relaxed, supportive David Lynch).

Hope everybody gets eventually a chance to see this insightful interview. It was shot with two cameras with one deliberately jerking around to get some strange impression, which I found rather annoying.
