Yeah, they shot most of the episodes for the third season, but once the show was cancelled they were never aired. Oh well. -Steve

Oh my God! THis is sooo April Fool's. Don't tell me they even worte starter scripts for season 3. WTF?!
I am likely to miss the main event If I stop to cry or complain again. So I'll just keep a deliberate pace, Let the damn breeze dry my face.

Sadly not the case. The second season was probably just aired in two seperate segments, and the person doing that voiceover made a mistake. If there was even 1 second of footage shot for a third season, I can guarantee you that it would have been endlessly discussed on this site. The only really interesting unseen TP is footage is the deleted stuff from the movie. Still, thanks for bringing this snippet to my attention, Steve! I'll probably add this to the Twin Peaks Archive DVD I made thanks to your help! And for once and for all,to those who doubt: AUDREY IS DEAD.
Has he taken his eyes off it yet?

It probably just seemed like a third season cause the second was so long (almost 3 times as long as the first). Keaton's ep was 22, so it was nearing the end of the series and came just before the episode that was followed by a 5-week "indefinite haitus" while network execs tried to kill the show. Ep 23 aired on Feb 16, 1991 and 24 on March 24 (according to David Lavery's Full of Secrets--though I sorta question this last date because it falls on a Sunday... maybe I just don't remember). Merely speculation, but by the time eps 24-29 came around, it may well have seemed like a third season to viewers. It doesn't change the fact, however, that this information is pretty dead wrong and that you'd think E! could get their facts straight. Ah well. Also... the person who said that business about filming most of season three when the cancellation occured... maybe you were talking about these eps (24-29). While these were mostly filmed prior to the hiatus, they were still technically part of season two. ..or were you just making that up, after all? :)

Well, if you follow the image quality you could cut the series at least in three parts. There is of course a big difference in the image when comparing the 1st and the 2nd season to each other. But also after Maddy is killed the image quality is once again changed. I guess they changed their filming equipment after that episode. So some could think that it was the beginning of the 3rd season.

The point is that Diane Keaton's episode sucked. She seemed to have an unhealthy fixation with the James/Marsh storyline. And the policemen walking in line; the men at the bar with cigars...gimme a break.
