-         The not-so-dead vagrant killed by Earle, Powell, winks.
-         Andy closes his eyes for a while to avoid seeing the killed vagrant and crying, even when Coop gives him evidence.
-         A figurine of a duck and another one of an owl when Audrey and Bobby are talking.
-         In that scene there are candles everywhere because the lights are malfunctioning too in the hotel. You can see a couple of employees carrying candles in the background.
-         It’s very dark but if you look closely you can see that Leo throws Shelly a soap in a sock.
-         Leo grabs Bobby through the window though moments earlier and later we see him approaching Shelly in another part of the house.
-         Andy’s rubber glove doesn’t actually get stuck in Lucy’s office’s glass, if we look closely we see that it falls to the floor.
-         The collection of car replicas that we see in closeup in the Marsh residence is right next to James in the next scene.
-         The woman from ep.27 appears one more time, this time very briefly when Ed and Doc Hayward are talking.
-         When Donna asks the Wallies bartender about James look at his gestures, how he looks at Evelyn, the sign he does saying “I can’t speak” or “I won’t speak”. Is he part of the Malcolm/Evelyn conspiracy?
-         Coop’s smile disappearing for an instant when he looks at Jacoby after looking at Lana..
-         The batch that the clerk wears says Randy Meyer though he’s credited as Randy St. Croix.
-         Coop is reading a book about Tibet when Harry shows him the fax.
-         If you read the rest of the text in the news of Jonathan’s death you’ll see that is all gibberish, non-sense text.
-         It’s not obvious on screen but Earle is playing his flute before Leo enters the cabin.

ad. 1 that's a well known one, still I am of the opinion, that this guy looks so much dead that even if he winks, he still works great as a deadman ;-)

ad.2. oh, that's interesting - why is he doing it? I don't remember that moment...

ad.3 Is it the same book Lucy reads 20 episodes earlier?

ad. 4 hahaha, that's a good one, can you quote some?

Coop's book about Tibet is not the Lucy one, which is bigger; this one is smaller and can also be seen when Coop is in the diner and Earle watches him... Also in his room I think...

The text in Jonathan's newspaper:

This is how i read it:

ASIAN MAN KILLED

An immediate investigation is assured and indications are that some time
light will be shed on the situation in the near future.
Available facts seem vague but authorities feel that time will disclose
some means of arriving at a solution.

Future plans will of recently have great bearings on the situation as it now
stands. Decisions will ave to me made of the actual planning will take
considerable time but it is felt that these steps are very important.

*The lower left paragraph is unclear to me but i can make out a couple of words*

The facts regarding the situation remain the same, state the authorities. Details
concerning the action have been given a preliminary investigation but it is felt that
only by a more detailed study will the true facts become known.

A suggestion that public hearings on application be limited to one every six months
was taken......

*then it disappears*

How vague! To be fair i think i've read many reports that tend to beat around the bush like that anyway. Haha.

With Bobby wrapped up in trying to work for a nutty Ben Horne, Shelly should have dumped him for abandoning her to be stuck with Leostein.

How did Leo lock Shelly in the house?

There is an owl watching outside (BOB feeding on Shelly's fear of Leo?)

Bobby can't get in the Johnson home.  The door is locked from both sides apparently.

This whole scene (Leo awakes) plays like a slasher movie - Leostein (soon to have multiple sequels)

Leo and Bobby reinact a scene from Star Wars-A New Hope with a different ending. The scene where Darth Vader chokes the Rebel Commander to death by holding him up in the air.

Was the purpose of adopting Little Nicky to impress Lucy?

I love Jeffrey Marsh's Air Jordan jacket.

Why was there a need to show an image of Caroline while Cooper is telling this backstory?

There is a huge S on the front door of Wallies Hideout.  (Hideout?  I guess where everyone goes to get away from their troubles like James and Evelyn)

Donna asks the Wallies bartender if he's seen James and he doesn't respond.

Why does Major Briggs pass out in the sheriff's station? I wonder also what he means when he says the military's search for the White Lodge is not ideologically pure.

"Horse dung." - Mayor Milford. Best quote of the episode

An owl watches Leo's trek to Earle's cabin

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

what always bugged me -even when I saw it for the first time as a teenager-

In the previous episode's end -Shelly is surprised by Leo. Then in the next episode, it is established that Bobby is at the Northern with Audrey, and then the next scene is back to Shelly and Bobby arrives a few minutes later. It doesn't work for me, even if it means Shelly was running around in the dark house for 45 minutes.
