- Next to Laura’s photos at the Palmer’s house there’s a small picture of two men sitting in a table. One of them looks like Leland, but is hard to recognize the other one. Ben? Doc Hayward? - Leland’s golf shoes and a plastic with some tees in the bag where he carries Maddy. - The Palmer’s house is white yet the one we see behind Leland when he gets in his car is brown. - Jerry has a flag of Japan in his pocket when he visits Ben in his cell. That’s where he’s coming from… - The criminal law book Jerry has, briefly seen when he gets it of his bag. - A couple of school girls being amused by Leland’s dances. - Another couple of school girls sitting in the Timber Room reading the book about Owls we already saw in another ep. and that Hawk is seen reading later in the series. - Continuity error: We see a hotel employee, a girl, passing twice behind Leland. - The notepad Bobby uses to write a note for Ben has Leo’s name on it. - The year in Ernie’s newspaper is 1990. D’oh! - Vivian says to Norma she’s going to the hotel and moments later she’s at the diner again helping her. How can this be? Because originally Vivian’s arrival was meant to be at the beginning of the ep. - The dartboard in Harry’s office. - A cigar above the toilet paper from Ben’s cell. - Coop is whistling the same song Leland is singing in his car. - Besides, he makes a comment about driving education programs before he and Harry see Leland driving wild. - Check Leland’s face when he’s going to show Coop his golf clubs. It certainly looks like he’s going to hit him… - Hank’s domino is now 4x4 and he wears it as a tie. - Maddy’s body is found near the waterfalls. In the scene there’s a sign briefly seen that reads “Danger, strong currents, stay clear of falls” and we can hear them.

Are you sure that wasn't the girl's twin walking behind her.

| There's a sign that says the same thing at the bottom walkway of Snoqualmie Falls (it's known to flood.)

It's either this episode or the one following Leland's death ( I would lean towards the latter) that most people think Season 2 went downhill. Leland's license plate says 710-YEP. 710 upside down is oil (as in scorched engine oil). Truman telling Leland about arresting Ben is similar to Pilot when he told him about Laura's death Were Truman and Cooper surprised when Leland says "the law will handle this" about Ben in comparison to his prior response in killing Jacques Renault? I swear Ray Wise was channeling BOB when he was laughing about the cops thinking Ben did it - Emmy worthy. Leo got food all over Shelly and Bobby eats it off her neck - what is it, baby food? Plaid and grunge attire were huge in Twin Peaks. One of a million Double R themes not on a soundtrack!!!!! I have always loved the pacing of the show how it takes its liesurely, precious, slow motion, small town time. Adds realism and a lot of suspense for the viewers. I think the only person Pete Martell shows menace towards is Ben Horne in the entire series. How "close" were Hank and Ernie in prison? Example number one million of the show going in a circle - unwrapping of Maddy's body from the plastic (mirror image of Pilot)
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper

I can't recall if it's when Leland looks in the mirror in his house or in his car, but there's this little musical sequence which plays that just really sums up the tragedy of the whole situation perfectly. Within those few notes lie the entire heartbreak of the Palmer saga, from Laura's revelation that her own father has been abusing her almost her entire life, to Leland's inner torment, to all of the happy times and loving moments that father and daughter would never share but had always hoped for before it all came crashing down.

Blech, so gross and unsexy. Shelly has Leo's regurge on her face, and Bobby eats the regurge off her face.

Bobby and Shelly are actually human vessels possessed by birds that are whacked out of their pea-brained minds.

Did you notice that Ben never rinses his mouth after brushing his teeth? There's actually no "after", he starts brushing but it is interrupted by Jerry's arrival and they start the talk, and Louise Dombrowski and all. But he never gets rid of the toothpaste anyway ;-)

He is Ben, he is so awesome that maybe he can take out a water tap from his palate, you know, Inspector Gadget style, and clear his mouth... Or maybe the tooth paste is so cheap that it's just water... The Sheriff Station has seen better days, real tooth paste costs money... You wanted an answer, right? By the way, BOB1, who do you think Louise Dombrowski really was? A cousin? A babysitter?

She was someone who had a very strong sex appeal for the boys - it's a really splendid scene IMO (Caleb Deschanel... this episode's many moments and the FANTASTIC Episode 6... why has he never turned into one of the great of cinema?) and it is so good because it really grasps the way we memorise sexually important figures from our early years... very often just a vague shape, a mood and intense emotions rather than details of any kinds. Years later these memories don't really have an erotic feeling to them, still they do keep their intensity but on a different level. We (or perhaps I should speak for myself, this whole scene works for me in this way) remember them - and those girls who used to stimulate us so much! - in a dreamy way, kind of unreal, but somehow wonderful. Like memories of a golden age when everything was different, better, fresh and unspoiled, a time that has gone with the wind. Makes one sigh "Lord, what has become of us..."
Now, Louise Dombrowski could have been a baby sitter, that's very plausible. Or someone else who used to turn up at the Hornes' house and aroused the boys's early sexual fantasies. She was probably a few years older than them, not more than ten years older though, I think ;-)
