hi, in one of the last episodes, Ben it is speaking with audry on purpose about miss twin peaks, when its daughter exits Ben turns itself suddenly and sees something or someone but does not come framed. who could be ? bye Viper

Undoubtedly the Great Pine Weasel, that lives in the walls of the Great Northern! He is NOT what he seems!! Anyone who's had a pet ferret knows that they are cute, but PURE EVIL!!!

RED HERRING! I remember while watching the show in the 90s that we were thinking that Bob had possessed someone else. Ben and Nadine were two people on our list because of their character changes. This shot makes it more suspicious for Ben.

Ben senses the trapped spirit of Josie. This is made obvious by the fact that once Ben turns around, the scene immediately cuts to Pete saying "Josie, I see your face", or something along those lines, while gazing at the mantle piece. Josie's soul inhabits the wood of the Great Northern.

I asked Richard Beymer that very question when he came to the fest. His answer was: "I was told by the director to turned around quickly and look startled. I was never told why." In my opinion the scene was intended to setup Ben's character for something else. Your guess is as good as mine as to what. Perhaps it would have materialized in season 3?
