Laura Dern's characters in both Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart; I'm guessing INLAND EMPIRE, but I won't know for sure until this Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!! And who could forget Diane Ladd in Wild at Heart, as Marietta, crying and smearing lipstick all over her face and then screaming when she's melting as the Wicked Witch???????? Oh, who could forget about all the men crying in Twin Peaks, especially Deputy Andy? Wow, this could go on and on..................

Laura's doppelganger screaming at Coop in ep 29. A dying Leland crying in Coop's arms. Runners up: Dorothy in Blue Velvet/also Kyle's crying scene, Laura crying at the Roadhouse in FWWM.

Not the Darkened Room chick or Laura Dern in Blue Velvet. That being said... Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise, FWWM Balthazar Getty and Patricia Arquette, Lost Highway

I'd have to say Betty and Rita crying in Club Silencio and Sarah Palmer, when she's on the phone to Leland in the pilot of Twin Peaks.

hehe interesting topic choice Rebel! Lula Fortune is indeed a hell of a screamer lol. So probably her in the first scene of W.A.H, infact pretty much all through WAH cuz she screams a lot, as well as Laura Palmer in FWWM when she is being raped by BOB and discovers his true identity.. Yes Naomi Watts at the end of M.D is excellent too, so hard to choose just one! Women in Twin Peaks:- all time favourite woman screaming in Peaks scene is Maddy's murder where she lets out those last really long screams before Leland breaks her nose, smashes her head into the mirror and kills her. :( The chillingness of those screams brings home how real it is. (well it's not "real" real but her muder is real.oh you know what I mean ;) )
Men: Frank in Blue Velvet screaming like an animal before he beats the crap out of poor Geoffrey :(... FWWM Leland screaming as he's being forced to kill Laura, and in Twin Peaks (I know it's not a film but I have always LOVED this bit) Windom Earle screaming like the biaotch he really is when the big bad BOB cat takes his soul... muahahahahahaha Edit: Forgot about the crying bit! Laura crying in FWWM in the "Wash your Hands" scene is so realistic and sad.. almost moves me to tears everytime I watch that because it.reminds me of the strictness at my own dinner table when I was her age a bit. You just want to give her a hug. Leland crying and them both crying together in the "Goodnight Princess" scene is another one..brilliant.
Best in Twin Peaks I think is Bobby crying when he talks about how troubled he knows she was to Jacoby and her bullying him into giving her drugs. And the scene where Coop is telling Harry about Caroline (and Audrey) both those times when he mentions Caroline are the only times you ever really see Coop Cry but oh...:,( women in Peaks: Maddy crying for her cousin, after James throws a hissy fit and smashes the Palmer's lamp, and in the pilot when Donna realises Laura's dead before the teacher says anything and her crying scene too. And of course both the numerous Leland dance/crying and Andy crying scenes are priceless. Other Lynch works for crying: Lula crying in WAH when Sherilyn dies and when Sailor leaves her, Rebekah Del Rio singing Llorando in M.D and Geoffrey Beaumont crying in Blue Velvet when remembering back to him hitting his friend Dorothy. Out of all of them though Laura's tears to me are the most painful and bittersweet to watch because you know what's coming, she knows what's coming and they all just as she says in her diary, "ignore her cries anyway because they don't matter and never have". (oops we're not up to there yet lol)
"watch out for my cousin.."

Good choices, Maddy. Yeah, you ain't kidding. Lula and Laura are great screamers. It has been widely noted that David Lynch isn't one for screen tests, but one has to wonder if he does some kind of scream test, because his female actors can always wail (yeah, I know that was a bad pun and Laura Dern was in 3 movies so that takes up most of the good screamers). The "Wash your hands/goodnight princess" sequence. i don't know how I didn't mention that one. Those scenes are heartbreaking everytime you see them and the scene were Jeffrey cries in Blue Velvet, excellent choice, Kyle is great in that scene and one really senses that Jeffrey's in over his head and how it is deeply affecting gim.

There was, is and never will be a better screamer than 'ar Grace (Sarah Palmer) in TP. Frustrated to the point of madness that her big mo' fo 'fro was all consuming on screen she couldn't resist the melodrama of screaming her tits off all the time. Love it. Comedy gold.
On the second day he came With a single red rose Said "Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?" I nodded my head as I lay on the bed He said, "If I show you the roses will you follow?" On the third day he took me to the river He showed me the roses and we kissed And the last thing I heard was a muttered word As he stood smiling above me With a rock in his fist They call me the wild rose But my name was Eliza Day Why they call me it I do not know For my name was Eliza Day

What about when Mike/Philip Gerard admits what his "deleted" tattoo said? Actually, he lies, cuz we all know it was FWWM (I have one!!), but though most think he blubbers "MOM"!, it sounds more like "BOB"! to me. Coincidence? Discuss...
