what happerns in episode 29? |

Im sorry if this topic has been brought up before. Im new to the site and ive not read all the topics What happerns in episode 29 to Annie when Windomearl takes her in the circle of the sycamore trees? She goes all silent and stands straight still like shes been take over or something? The same kind of thing happerns to Cooper when he walks in aswell when he tells Harry 'i have to walk up alone'. What is it what actually is happerning to them before they enter The Black Lodge? cheers

I do believe Windom put Annie in some kind of trance to get her to fear him so he could enter. As for Cooper I think the pause was to give the crew time for the effects in post-production. Or maybe it could be his way of showing the lodge he has love for Annie so he can enter.

Annie is fearful of the unknown as is Cooper, paralizing fear prehaps drawing them into the black lodge. If Cooper and Annie show up there together and in love, they may be drawn into the white lodge, which is never shown , but referenced by Major Briggs.

There's a whole lot of disagreement about what the black and white lodges actually are, so I wouldn't be too sure of what you've seen - remember the MFAP describes one room as "the waiting room" - implying that it's neither one of the lodges.
Has he taken his eyes off it yet?
