I want the Lynch's lyrics to Mountain Falling, in particular. So nice that there are liner notes on the Julee Cruise album.

Really? I toss out all my CD cases (but not my cassettes.) My fault. They must be online somewhere for reference, but I can't find them.

Because I’m in a spectacularly good mood after the Chris Isaak concert in Manchester last night (he was godly) I've typed out the lyrics for you. They’re beautiful. Bluebob rules. Mountains Falling I see you go When you go, how come you’re gone so long? Where do you go, when you’re gone so long? Baby, why do you go, when you go so long? Baby, why do you do the things you do? Baby, why do you do the things you do? You take my hand, and they come marching And you’re gone Baby, your smile – I see you go – don’t go Don’t leave this mountain The armies came marching to the mountain And your smile in the car window – you and the captain Your face flies in the traffic as you glide from the mountain Don’t go. Don’t leave this glowing mountain top My dreams tell me things about you I can see what you do My dreams tell me things about you I can see what you do Baby, why do you do the things you do I want you back Don’t come comin’ back like that When you’re gone, how come you’re gone so long? My dreams tell me things about you I can see what you do Why do you do the things you do? I’m so in deep Baby, I can’t sleep Floating above me, the armies of the captain Marching towards the mountain, the mighty mountain In the car window I saw you smile The screams of traffic Flying through the streets, I saw it again You and the captain His armies surround you Leading me off the edge Of the mighty mountain The mountain’s falling
I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets

Right, right, MD not LH. Dang, I lent out my MD DVD to someone I don't see anymore, or I'd give it a listen.

Angel, PM me with your address and I'll send you a box set sized booklet.
And, the Pool Party music was done originally for a commercial we did, that Angelo wrote the music for. It was initially a jazz trio of piano, bass and drums, and I added a jazzbox acoustic guitar chord 'comping' track on it. It was never used in the commercial.

OK Lets, wrong movie, wrong tune. Anything else just ask me. That pool party track is absolutely great John. That's what really helps me say it looked like a great party. I thought I heard something in it that made me think of " Spooky" which was ( I think) a Santana vocal. Anyway, it made that whole scene.

Hi, Raymond. 'Spooky' was first done in about 1968 by a band from Atlanta called 'Aces iV', I think (it's been a while).
The same band became a very sought-after session band in trhe seventies and re-made and re-released the song again in about '78, as The Atlanta Rhythm Section. I am not aware of Santana doing the song.

Right, right, right, thanks John. Trifecta- wrong movie, wrong song, wrong artist. At least I'm consistent. Hmmm 1968 ,1978, that may explain my lapse.

I think the song you're actually referring to is Barry Adamson's Something Wicked This Way Comes, which IS on the LH soundtrack (he, Trent R. & Angelo contributed most of the songs). Barry was with Nick Cave for quite a bit & is a soundtracker & successful solo artist. SWTWC uses Spooky as it's basis (but NOT sampling). If you don't have it, GET the LH soundtrack!!!

Ok, thanks OSF, I know there is a great " think tank " here at TPG. Also, myself , OSF and John are (I'm guessing) Baby Boomers who remember stuff ( well. with me to some extent anyway) like " Spooky". So, I guess we have the LH thing worked out now ? " Spooky" was a cool song, and I sure thought I heard it in that piece. Thanks gentlemen. Now, I'm wondering what the Mulholland Drive tune is that LetsRogue originally asked about before I sent us on a detour. Have a good one guys.

OK, OSS, you have the info. I used memory only and it was faulty.
Classics IV it is/was. Regardless, they became the Atlanta Rhythm Section and redid their own song. Yeah, yeah, I should check net resources before spouting, but my core remembrance was right. Jest some o' th' details....
Got any rocking chairs?

I'm 50, John, & I recall trivia like that. Didn't know they morphed into ARS (presumably sans Yost). And I'd think that any chair you were in would be rockin'. Let's rock, brother! You're pickin', I'm whittlin"!!
