Alright, maybe I'm a bit weird, but I think this is the most fun you can have with your pants on (though you don't necessarily have to do it with your pants on).

You've got 10 minutes to name all 192 UN recognised nation-states. After about 10 attempts over a couple of weeks I've got it down to only 30 remaining when the time is up. At the end of the time, they kindly tell you who you've forgotten.

A few tips for your first try:

Spell out the word 'and' when you're doing your nations like Trinidad and Tobago.

Netherlands doesn't need a 'the' but 'The Philippines' does. So do ' Democratic Republic of the Congo' and 'Republic of the Congo'.

I've got mad respect for all of you but I don't think you'll beat my score of 30 remaining.

I doubt that I could get down to 30 because of countries like Comoros, or Kiribati.
When it comes to Africa, I know the northernmost 5 countries and South Africa, but everything inbetween is sort of iffy.

I lost patience at about 150.
So, hats of to ya.

I knew I'd never manage to beat the Hero. Bah! Even assuming I wouldn't get muddled up in Eastern Europe (I'm still very much in a Soviet bloc mindset) and I'd remember all the names in Africa, my typing speed simply isn't good enough (with these old arthritic fingers). I have actually been sad enough to test this theory by copy-typing the complete list, and ran out of time with eight still to go.

This is deeply wrong and I suggest that you have terrible morals.  How do you sleep?

But Log Weasel, it goes faster when you're typing on their little square because as soon as the computer reads the word, it's blank and ready to go for the next one. I discovered this as I wrote "Nigeria" and got as far as "Niger-" before the computer printed it out giving me a freebie! Hmmm, don't know if there are any more examples of that.

Spelling was a challenge and I missed Liechtenstein after wasting a couple tries. It knew what I meant!

Herofix, I got the Philippines without the "the."

I really wish the Africans could settle down and keep the names of their countries the same for a friggin' half century or so. I have a wall size map of the world in the kitchen and I don't like to keep updating it after every name change.

Sigh. I miss Yugoslavia.  Czechoslovakia too.  Those were the days...

Boo Balkanization! Boo all -stans, too! Lucky I've watched enough Borat to know how to spell Kazakhstan.  Shouldn't UAE be sufficient?  USA? UK?  That quiz needs a little fine tuning.
