David's hair is the sh*t!

I haven't gotten around to seeing IE yet, but when I do I have to travel all the way to The Cornerhouse, which is 3 miles away from my apartment. *sigh*

The things I do to see a Lynch movie! ;p

On the second day he came
With a single red rose
Said "Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?"
I nodded my head as I lay on the bed
He said, "If I show you the roses will you follow?"

On the third day he took me to the river
He showed me the roses and we kissed
And the last thing I heard was a muttered word
As he stood smiling above me
With a rock in his fist

They call me the wild rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

Glad to see you too, Rebel.

Where have I been? Well, obviously, I've been in trouble!

Finally! IE just opened at a theater in Houston, less than 20 min. from my house, I saw the first matinee. I think about 15 attended. Totally worth the wait, I'll need to see it again before it leaves town.

Is it still playing anywhere because I've been going crazy because I missed it this week and it was about half an hour away.

I really don't want to wait another 5 years to see a lynch film in theaters.

It's hard to say for me.  I went to visit a few friends in Seattle, and went to see the movie while there, at the Neptune.  So, I did travel about 90 miles from home, but I didn't go to the movie theater from my house.

Ha! That's where I saw Eraserhead in 1979!

But why would you? They are playing at least Eraserhead, Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr on a regular basis over here, come over and watch as you please :-)))

I'm going to travel about fifteen minutes by bus, and walk another ten.

If anyone wants to be jealous, scroll down a bit and witness a schedule which includes every Lynch film except Dune.  Shame about all the subtitles, but I'll live.

OMG!!!  I was driving down the main street in Omaha today and lo and behold, on our only artsy theater, staring out at me in big black letters were those words--INLAND EMPIRE--I swear I almost had an accident.  I immediately called the theater, and it just started today and will be in town for one week!  So I get to go!!!  And now the theater tells me they have a newsletter by email.  I called there months ago and asked, because I saw "Wild at Heart" there, but nobody knew.

I can't believe I get to see it on the big screen!

few weeks ago IE came to Tel-Aviv. it's playing in the best theatre in town, 10 min' from my house on foot (!!). Tel-Aviv gave a warm welcome tp IE. there were huge posters all over town. and lots of ads and stuff.

cool time to be in Tel-Aviv
