What Twin Peaks/Lynch tattoo would you get if you could? Or if you already have one what is it? Post pics! I am thinking of getting the blue rose, to cover a hideous tattoo that I had when I was a stupid kid.

Nightmare scenario.
All of you tattoo Peaks are involved in a bus accident on this year's TP tour at the festival. You wake up in a Seattle hospital in fine health, only to find out none of you has a clue what this Twin Peaks is all about, why all these drawings are on your bodies, and what the hell you're doing in Washington State in the first place...
| "Nightmare", you say? First off, I live in Seattle. Secondly, the opportunity to RE-discover Peaks?! That's no nightmare, my friend! Press play!! Oh, no!! That's Flappy!!! (The memories are beginning to return...)

Dear One Suave Folk, Who on earth is "Flappy"? Is he a character out of TP? If so, I've never heard of him.

| Flappy is the name that OneSuaveFolk has given to the Bewick's Wren that appears in the opening credits to the series.
| Uh, Jared, Flappy is the name his PARENTS gave him! All I gave was voice to his sad story, ripping the lid off of the fetid caulrdon of lies & liars that is/are ABC-TV, Lynch/Frost Productions, & the gigantic steaming pile of poo that is Hollywood & the entertainment juggernaut in general ,via my short truth-telling mission documentary that is Flappy: Behind The Music in The Air. Now I'll be the first to admit that Flappy is no angel (despite the wings), but he didn't deserve that sort of treatment. I think it's tragic that only a handful of Festgoers have learned the truth. I "served" Lynch a copy of the Flappy DVD on his recent swing through Seattle, so he KNOWS that the truth squad is on his tail. I do sleep with a loaded pistol beneath my pillow these days. Flappy narrator Thaddeus "Stumpy Joe" McGinnis has mysteriously "disappeared" & I 'm in constant contact with my director Matt Levinthal. My final question is-- which one of these is the "obviously tongue-in-cheek" emoticon?

I've always thought that if I was going to get a TP tatt, it would be the Bob FWWM one. These days, though, my upper arms are already tattooed, so it would have to be somewhere else. Not sure where. Hi, by the way; I'm new here.

HMMM! i've been thinking of getting a tattoo on my right-or left calf[on the outside]. this 'fire, walk with me' is a great idea, actually! it would pay homage to twin peaks, a series i've adored since its release in 89... mabey i'd get it done in an attention grabbing font. any font suggestions? lol on naming the wren in the scene with which each episode opens.
btw, what does the symbol for the 'black lodge' look like?

it's pileated, isn't it?

Use the actual font from the show.

My concern: the tattooists who can get that font right are few and far between... choose your artist extra-carefully if you go that route.

My cursory rummaging through the back of the intertrucks didn't produce a usable image of the title screen from the credits, surprisingly. The font itself is very difficult to match precisely, and I haven't yet seen a typeface that seems like a perfect fit to me.
Also note, for the last few episodes of the series, they "subtly" -- keep in mind I'm a bit deranged about typography -- changed the opening credit font. I don't accept that replacement font as official or canonical, which is why someday there will be a few pages in the DSM-V about me.
