My coffee came the day before y'day when I was in London! Its in a nice big tin and came with an INLAND EMPIRE coaster!! I cant wait to try it, but it shall have to wait until after work tomorrow as I really need to sleep and I thing the coffee would be very counter-productive!

Ill post a picture of it tomorrow...its a work of art in itself. I was just expecting a bag of coffee..but the tin is lovely!

Oooh! That means mine should be arriving any time. :D Which one did you get? I ordered the House Roast. Wanted the French Roast but it was only in decaf. Yuck.

I got the House Roast and it's really nice!! Its a 12 oz bag and it comes in a nice black tin. I had mine with milk today but someone over at the IE board said that it's good enough to have black, which I might try tomorrow.

Ill post a picture of the tin and coaster tomorrow morning.

Edited to add: Ill post the link to my pictures of the coffee on dugpa, as I can't seem to post them on here.

Mine arrived yesterday in time for my morning cuppa, and I agree...it's good just regular ol' black (which is usually the only way I take my coffee). I got the whole bean house roast 'cause I like to grind my own when I can, and it's just a good hearty cup of coffee. The tin is fantastic! It's like having a stylish way to keep my beans fresh. :D

Now that we know Whole Foods will be carrying David's coffee shortly, I got an email from Wild Oats saying the two stores are merging under Whole Foods, so hopefully the plans won't change.  And it is in that cool black can.

Well, forget the Whole Foods thing.  We just got word over at the dugpa.com discussion board from a representative of Allegro coffee.  She said the coffee is only available online and "the coffees sold under the David Lynch private label are exclusive proprietary blends created with David and his team and are not the same as Allegro's...One of the coffees is similar, but reflects changes that David personally chose to meet his specific flavor profile.  David is an avid coffee drinker and I can assure you his coffees are delicious!"

Thanks, Allegro coffee

Can you make this stuff in a cafetiere or do you need a filter machine?

Thx

Well, I know it comes ground or in whole beans; does that help?  I looked up the thing you make your coffee in; in the states it's called a French Press (and maybe even in France), but that should work.

Yes, you can totally make the coffee in a french press. I bought the whole bean version of the Organic House Roast and did a good coarse grind of it and used my french press. Came out gorgeous. :D

I'm using my espresso in an Italian stove-top mocha. Works a treat ... as it should.

I quite like the coffee. Certainly I've tasted worse. What's interesting is the dark-chocolate/smokey aromas to it. But given how much he smokes, maybe Lynch wouldn't notice the smokiness!

What other feedback does anyone have?

Thanks for the advice everyone, I think I'll have to order some of this now, despite the massive shipping costs.
