Okay, I realize this may be old already, but somebody posted an article in Live Journal about the Special Release of Wild at Heart, Rated X, as an Uncut European Version.  Does anybody know anything about this; can we buy it over here?  Here is the link it was under; I wrote them:

This IMDb has it listed as being 124 minutes, and the site linked says 127 minutes, so there should be 3 extra minutes.
The only thing that I know that was cut was the Farragut death scene. Surely it can't be that?

I guess that's the one; I just talked to somebody on another site who said the "Uncut" version can't be found here.  I just wondered, because I'm replacing all my videos with DVDs.  Thanks, Booth.

That must be quite the sex scene to get it an X rating.

I heard some of the love scenes between Sailor and Lula were longer and more explicit, but that could be misinformation.  They were supposed to show some uncut version on the big screen for one of the Twin Peaks Festivals, and then DL changed his mind about letting us see it.  It was one of his personal reels.

The only real difference as far as i am aware is the scene where Bobby Peru blows his head off with the shot gun, in the cut version some sort of digitization occurs because the powers that be thought it was too graphic, whilst the uncut depicts  it in all its kennedy dealy plaza glory.

I just got an email back from Landmark Theatres who are promoting this.  Here's what they said:

"The uncut European version of WILD AT HEART (also known as the X-rated version) has been playing as a midnight movie in many of our markets.  The film played this past weekend in Minneapolis and is scheduled to play in the following theatres on the following dates:

River Oaks Theatre (Houston, TX) on Friday & Saturday, January 26 & 27

Nuart Theatre (Los Angeles, CA) on Friday, February 9 only

All the best, Perry Glorioso, LandmarkTheatres.com"

Dugpa would know for sure since I know he was there at the Nuart for a previous screening.  But if I recall the word, Hatter is correct.  It was merely the Bobby Peru scene.

Yes. Nuart is correct. The version they are showing is only the "smokeless" version. The version that was shown to a test audience was the only time the extended masterbation scene was even shown.
