The final Lynch film (that's been released in my area, that is) for me to watch was Lost Highway, which I saw last night. I think I would have loved it if I hadn't seen MHD first (It seemed to me like Bill P. was the male version of Naomi W.'s character from MHD). As it stands, LH falls to #6 in my DL Top 5. What I couldn't get over, was how much the whole movie had a strong "life imitating art" thing going for it--mostly because of the gender roles in this film, and the proximity of its date of shooting to the high profile, OJ Simpson case. I also couldn't believe that Robert Blake walked out as the Mystery Man--the voice of conscience for the Bill P. character. I wonder who has his video tape?
