I am going to buy this, but am curious as to how this will support the site?

If you use that link, the site gets credit for the purchase of Dune and so we make a little money. That money goes to our web hosting.

FYI, British readers can get a free DVD copy of Dune with The Observer (Sunday newspaper) for £1.80 on Sunday 22/1/06. These giveaways are pretty common in circulation wars here but this is the first Lynch title to be offered (to my knowledge). It will probably be without extras, subtitles, etc. Not really competition for the new edition DVD but anyway... I'll let you know what version it is when I get my copy.

FYI lucky Observer readers in UK got Dune on dvd today. It was the regular theatrical version (130m) , widescreen, no subtitles, menu, languages or extras.

Anyone notice the similarities between the Atreides palace and the hotel in Twin Peaks? Yep, all of you did, I know...
