The Air is on Fire will feature works created specially for the occasion and will occupy the Fondation Cartier's entire exhibition space in a setting designed with David Lynch's close participation. A reference catalog published in both English and French will accompany the exhibition and explore the ensemble of the artist's oeuvre.

From March 3 to June 3, 2007.

 David Lynch will present his work as an artist in an unparalleled exhibition event that explores the filmmaker's prolific and diverse practice as a painter, photographer, filmmaker, sculptor, and sound artist.

Does anyone know if this will be coming to the States? 

I'd hate to miss the TP Fest for having spent all my money going to Europe. 

Have postponed my trip to New York to go to the DL exhibition. These art exhibitions are rare and very international and the next one could easily be in Japan in 2015! It's unlikely to tour (in the UK at least) and I've been meaning to visit Paris for ages anyway.

In addition to the exhibition I really want the catalogue (and anything else I can get my hands on) and if I wasn't excited about the art (which I am) and just wanted the book to add to my collection I'd still rather fly to Paris than be at the mercy of Ebay sellers! Snakes.

There's so much uncertainty over INLAND EMPIRE, Twin Peaks DVDs, deleted scenes etc. it's nice to have something Lynchian I can look forward to without the risk of disappointment!
