Hey I was just curious... this is a kind of irrelevent thread but I wanted to know if anyone knows where Lynch got the money that allows him to live in an expensive apartment, eat out all the time, and do whatever he wants really... It can't just be the proceeds from his movies. Probably everyone knows this but me... thank you.
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

The ads he makes every other year (or so) probably pays a pretty penny.
I don't know what kind of contract he has but I do know that out of the 70 million dollars that The Village cost, M. Night pocketed a cool 7 mill as a director's fee.
So if he doesn't use hundred dollar bills as toilet paper, he will probably be able to live comfortably for the rest of his life.
Or he'll spend everything he has on the peace palaces.

First, he does not live in an apartment, he owns three houses in a row on a hillside street in Hollywood, and has lived in one of them for almost 20 years. The most recent house was the set of The Madisons' house in "Lost Highway" and was rebuilt as the studio in 1997. He does not eat out every night, as he is very particular about the food he eats, how it is prepared and where it came from. He is very frugal with his money, having started with nothing, and knows the value of a dollar. He does do commercials, which he selects very carefully as to type of product, etc., and they help fuel the creative fires. His Director's fees are modest by Industry standards.

And I'm pretty sure that he and I share the same hairstylist, so he probably saves a few bucks there.

Maybe someone would like to write a book, "Make Money the David Lynch Way". Real wealth in 30 days or your money back. Then I could tell Carlton Sheets to kiss off.
We kissed Buffy. I may be love's bitch but I'm man enough to admit it.
