Here is a nigh-1hr interview with the man filmed for BBC Scotland in 1999. I think the interviewer helps bring out a bit of Mr Lynch that is difficult to reach. I for one enjoyed it LetsRoque, I have traveled to Iowa, all I seen was corn, small towns like mine & yes, here in my town we have one main street, but, the town is growing due to the Texas Motor Speedway, Alliance Airport & Fedex. I like small towns. I also try to keep in touch every year giving a small donation to Alvin Straight's home, they are restoring his home, infact I sent a small donation this year :) thank you for sharing! :)

Thanks Lets. I enjoyed starting my Sunday with that interview. Lynch is in his mid fifties in it-looks about the same as 10 years before as Gordon Cole. He has his hair color and looks good. I notice he mentioned the beauty of film verses digital. But, he did say digital was improving and I guess about 4 years later he felt it had improved enough to make a movie using that form. So, I heard a seed of the possibility of an IE in the future.

Look Rebel I got us some land in Iowa : http://www.ownapieceofamerica.com/php/state.php?stateName=iowa The email says its in Ringgold county and granted its only 1 square inch but its a start. Just think we could go on lawnmore trips to Laurens and stuff and make babies in the corn fields. Thats the American Dream for me :-)
