  • Johnny Horne seems to hum part of "Laura Palmer's Theme" just before Jerry enters.
  • The door knob of the Horne's dining room is...a horn.
  • Jerry uses binoculars in the boat; that scene looks speeded up, by the way.
  • The new girl is the 8 of clubs, she has it all over her costume.
  • The man with Leo in the woods wears the same gloves seen in the pilot (Jacoby's) and the face masked like Leland when he attacked Jacoby.
  • We briefly see Andy taking rocks with a bucket that Coop later will use in his tibetan method.
  • The "Say NO to Ghostwood" signs at the Double R.
  • Hawk's look of both admiration and perplexity during the tibetan method.
  • The letters found in the fingernails, R and T, are written in the chalkboard, but they are not mentioned (they are in the script...hint of a deleted scene?).
  • Eileen's wheelchair in the Double R.
  • The picture of the waterfalls near the Double R's counter.
  • Lucy reading a book about Tibet when Albert arrives.
  • A weathercock inside Ed's house (really!).
  • The pattern of Leland's suit matches the Red Room floor.
  • The LPs Leland is playing in the floor.
  • The "Fire walk with me" tattoo in BOB's left shoulder.
  • Coop wears different badges in the Red Room, like if he was promoted in the FBI.
  • The "Ding!" sound when Laura touches her nose and when the LMFAP stops rubbing his hands.
  • The bartender at One Eyed Jacks (the "Next step, rocket science" girl) is named Kim, you can hear her name being said by Swabbie (the "Hi, sailor!" girl) over the phone. That's the actress name, Kim Leintz; she was also in "Boxing Helena" BTW...

More excellent work Gordon!

According to the notes on the DVD, the Tibetan scene was shortened from that of the script - this is why the R & T first appear uncircled, then are circled a little later. Coop reminded them of the letters and circled both as he did so - I'd imagine this was edited out for timing reasons.

Here's another one:

The Little Man from Another Place has one shoe with a soul almost 3 inches taller than the other shoe's soul.

When Ben and Jerry get off the boat at OEJ's there is a police(?) officer or a rent-a-cop on the dock.

Also, I think it is in two, maybe more episodes; whenever you see folks eating at the double R, in the booths, there is this large, old, 50's looking duck arranged among the plants.  It seems to travel to whichever booth is being filmed.

  • There is a large duck mounted on top of Big Eds Petrol Station.

Beauty is momentary in the mind -
The fitful tracing of a portal;
But in the flesh it is immortal.
The body dies; the body's beauty lives.
So evenings die, in their green going,
A wave, interminably flowing.
So gardens die, their meek breath scenting
the cowl of winter, done repenting.
So maidens die, to the auroral
Celebration of a maiden's choral.
Susanna's music touched the bawdy strings
Of those white elders; but, escaping,
Left only Death's ironic scraping.
Now in its immortality, it plays
On the clear viol of her memory,
And makes a constant sacrement of praise.

('Peter Quince at the Clavier' by Wallace Stevens)

I'm currently rewatching the Gold Box, so wait for updates in some of the threads... You know, useless and minor details we all love...at least I do...

Are you 100% sure about this?

P.S. Love your 'Did you notice...' threads!

100 % never... The problem about looking for this kind of stuff is that you WANT to find it, so sometimes I guess it's just in my mind... Let's say 90 %. I'll post a screenshot later confirming it or not...

Well, you're right Jer... I confused her with another blonde girl with a similar outfit, the second from the right when Blackie appears... Fixing now and thanks for pointing that out...the compendium can't be called compendium if it's incorrect...

Looking forward for her interview...

Ah, the classic dream sequence episode.

They need to release that song they play in the Double R when Ed comes in for a cup of coffee.

The FBI Agents with Albert have really big glasses.

Why does "Laura" kiss Cooper in the dream sequence before she whispers who killed her in his ear?

When the LMFAP is shaking with his back to the camera, that is super creepy and I wonder if it means anything.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

The Horne family dinner conversation is downright nonexistent and uncomfortable.

Jerry is an absolute jerk to the hotel staff.

When this episode first aired, the Horne brothers passion for the brie and butter sandwiches made me want one like nothing else!  (still do)

Why do the sandwiches remind the Horne brothers of Jenny down by the river? or something along those lines when their mouths are stuffed.

Looks like a chandelier made out of antlers at One Eyed Jacks.

Closeup of James and Donna dialogue reminiscent of them in woods in Pilot episode

Leo really shows how small time and unintimidating Mike and Bobby are by scaring the crap out of them - they drive off with the football on the hood of the car

At the Tibetan rock throw, there is a little shack in the background

I'm in love with Audrey's mole.

When it first aired, nothing on TV was even in the same galaxy as the dream sequence, and the same could still be said today.

I'm pretty sure the sandwiches are a subtle way to get past the censors that it reminds Ben of oral sex.

Did anyone not notice the Horne dinner is uncomfortable -I'm pretty sure that one was blatantly clear.

Um, let's see -the J that is circled and uncircled in the rock throw made obsessive Peakers go crazy back in 1990.  (it was just a continuity error, people!)

I'm sure Lucy's Tibet book has already been mentioned.

Catherine tells Pete "what did that FBI Agent want here TODAY." yet Cooper was there the previous day.  Most likely, this scene was supposed to have happened in the first act (Saturday night) as opposed to the third act (Sunday night).

Audrey's only appearance in the Double R Diner -despite having all her publicity photos taken there.

I thought it was a sexual reference, but I never quite picked up on it until this weekend.  Very funny.
