According to Wikipedia Badalamenti appears in Twin Peaks and Wild At Heart... IMDB says that he's only in Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Dr. though... does anyone know if he appears in the se two works, and if so who he plays (maybe more piano players?). Just wondering...

That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

Not sure. Am aware of Julee Cruise making an appearance.

Beauty is momentary in the mind -
The fitful tracing of a portal;
But in the flesh it is immortal.
The body dies; the body's beauty lives.
So evenings die, in their green going,
A wave, interminably flowing.
So gardens die, their meek breath scenting
the cowl of winter, done repenting.
So maidens die, to the auroral
Celebration of a maiden's choral.
Susanna's music touched the bawdy strings
Of those white elders; but, escaping,
Left only Death's ironic scraping.
Now in its immortality, it plays
On the clear viol of her memory,
And makes a constant sacrement of praise.

('Peter Quince at the Clavier' by Wallace Stevens)

Here's a pic of Angelo Badalmenti:

Who remembers him from the TP series?

Lol. Your right, that was him. Ahh that was funny stuff. I'm a bit like that about coffee but I don't bother with the napkin ... straight back at ya.

He isn't mentioned on IMDb in the cast listing nor on the trivia page.

According to IMDb he plays a piano in both On the Air and Blue Velvet, but not Lost Highway.

Say NO to Ghostwood

If there's piano playin' or espresso spittin', it's likely.

I don't think so. He is a cool guy though, watched an interview of him, making a joke of how he tried to give David some whiskey to get him to reveal Laura's murderer  Very nice person. And a talanted musician.

This isn't right... There's something wrong here...

Whoops, guess he isn't in Lost Highway... my mistake. Wikipedia claims that he's in TP, but it's not exactly the most trustworthy site...

That's what Wikipedia says on Lynch's page. It's under "frequent collaborators". So that's where I got the idea he was in Lost Highway... It doesn't mention On the Air...

It may be that Wikipedia meant that he's on the credit list in TP, ie per his music ..?

I don't think so. It says that he "appears" in the films, and also all the other frequent collaborators mentioned are people who appear in his movies... not crew members.

Nah - I'm pretty sure they mean his 'appearance' on the audio level of those films ;-)

Check out IMBd film archive. They divide Badalmenti's contributions film into several categories (see below). Here are the films Badalmenti is identified as having acted in:

Actor - filmography
(
2000s) (1990s) (1980s)
  1. Mulholland Dr. (2001) .... Luigi Castigliane
... aka Mulholland Drive (France) (USA: closing credits title)
  2. "On the Air"
        -
Episode #1.1 (1992) TV Episode .... Piano Player
  3. Blue Velvet (1986) (as Andy Badale) .... Piano Player

Filmography as: Composer, Soundtrack, Miscellaneous Crew, Actor, Producer, Self

And this is all I got from Wikipedia:

After scoring a variety of mainstream films, including A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, he scored Lynch's cult television show, Twin Peaks, which featured the vocals of Julee Cruise. Many of the songs from the series were released on Cruise's album Floating into the Night. Other Lynch projects he worked on include the movies Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Dr. (where he has a small role as a gangster with a finicky taste for espresso), as well as the television shows On the Air and Hotel Room.

I don't think it sounds likely Badalmenti appeared on screen in TP as an actor. As BOB1 suggests, the word 'appearance' is a little misleading but refers to his audio contribution.

However, may be you might want to look this up. I did read somewhere, as I searched across the net, a passage that suggested Badalmenti might have appeared in the 7th episode of Season 2. May be you should take a peek at that lead LWPM?
