G'day everyone, I'm an avid reader of this forum and very rare poster. I am a huge Lynch fan after watching the 1st season of TP a few years ago, I then went out and hired everything of Lynch's I could and haven't looked back.
Anyway, apologies if this has been done before, or if you think this is pointless. There are some movies I have seen where I can't help but wonder what if Lynch had directed. There will usually be something in the movie that inspires that thought, maybe only for one scene and then it's gone, a line of dialogue, a costume, the set, etc.
One movie which I always think about is Event Horizon, I think the first half of that movie is great in terms of the build up and I love the look of the sets. I always find myself wondering what would Lynch have done if he was interested, as to me, there are quite a few scenes where he would have been able to employ some weirdness and eccentricities!

I think Lynch could make a really kick ass episode of LOST. I know, it's not a movie. I just feel that if he directed an episode of the show it would be one of the best and most memorable ever. There are certain elements of the show that Lynch could easily contribute his his unique style to.

Um......Red Rock West?
I laugh because I think that RRW is one of the most shameless Lynch rip-offs I've ever seen - anybody else agree? TITG
Has he taken his eyes off it yet?

Good call on 1984. It's a great movie, I saw it ages ago but what sticks in my memory is the very lonely industrial environment they live in. I remember finding that quite frightening as I found it very hard to relate to anything in my world. I had experienced nothing like it.

I don't think Lynch is much into adaptations
"Did they scoff the whole damn Smörgåsbord?" (Audrey) "Gimme a donut!" (Coop)
