From IMDb:

Director Cameo: [David Lynch] when Merrick returns to London, he is chased by an angry mob, and flees underground. The shot of the crowd descending the stairs in pursuit features Lynch in full costume.

Anyone know if this is true?

As I have analysed "The Elephant Man" frame by frame, I can indeed confirm it is true. We can see and recognize DL quite easily.

Oh no, CCC... Just ignoring Gazetters!

12rainbow, can you please correct me? I would like to learn from my mistakes. I always like to perfect my English.  Anyway, by reading that my mistakes make you crack up I hope it means they make you laugh, right?!

Telling someone to "get a life" is telling them they're useless and pathetic, similar to "f*ck off."

Elephant Man is the one DL movie I don't own. A screen cap would be perfect here.

Oh, Ok. Anyway, I made my researches and found out that mine was not what you call a Malapropism.

Here's an example of unattributed malapropism: "In the worst case Ontario..." instead of Scenario

Well, at least one person remained on topic in this thread. Thanks Roland, maybe you (or someone else with a DVD-Rom) can post some screencaps?

This is quite interesting, I don't think I've ever seen David in EM.  If I break out my DVD tonight, I'll surely post a screen cap for you all.  Not sure I'll get to it tonight though, as I play volleyball for 3.5 hours after I get out of work.
