I like how he describes the AFI stables. He makes it sound so glamorous. In a way it was, I guess. 'Hope David finds enlightenment and proves us all wrong.

Cheers for the link, it is really insightful. Lynch seems to be opening up a lot more than in the past.

Well, the story of the scrapbook is crazy. I don't think it's real, though... He could've been inventing it

Our mission is to raise 7 billion dollars to allow any student, who wants to learn TM, start learning how to dive within and get on the fast track to enjoying life. Consciousness-Based Education is what education is supposed to be, to develop the full potential of the individual. Stress is killing so many students. And this blows the stress away. It sounds so goofy. But it’s really pretty thrilling. I thought the $7 billion (with a "b") was for Peace Palaces not education. Maybe that's a different $7 billion. With a "b." Susan

I was wondering about this Pancha Karma discussed in the interview. Here's what I found: Pancha Karma
There are several eliminative procedures in Pancha Karma that assist in eliminating toxins.
1. Therapeutic vomiting (vamana) promotes elimination from the stomach and thoracic cavity. 2. Purgation (virechana) promotes elimination from the small intestine. 3. Therapeutic enema (basti) works on the colon to eliminate toxins and strengthens the tissues. 4. Nose drops (nasya) cleanse toxins from the head and sinuses.
[ ]Warm oil massage and sweat therapies prepare the body to eliminate the toxins (doshas) from their respective zones. This approach is unique in that it insures that the underlying tissues are not damaged by the elimination procedures mentioned above. This attention to the proper preparation of the body prior to the elimination of toxins is unequal in the health care field and is what makes Pancha Karma so unique and effective.
[ ]After Pancha Karma a specific graded diet is followed for seven days to assure that the agni returns to a normal balanced state and that no further Ama (toxins) is formed in the GI tract.
[ ]In addition to the previously mentioned karmas there are many other therapeutic techniques that Ayurveda has to offer that can be used singularly or in combination for the desired effect upon the patient.
All of which makes me think of this cartoon I received by email last week:
